Violet Fishscale

My first starting point with these Blazer customs is usually the swoosh. Everything else falls into place after. Sticking with the cross stitch theme, I wanted to see what a swoosh in that style would look like. Up close, you can easily the x's that form the cross stitch grid. From afar, it reminded me of a fishes skin.

Typically, when I customize blazers I opt for the diamond shaped NAYK logo. It's become a staple for my shoes. When it came to these, I wanted to go a bit bolder to offset the simplicity of the black shoe. I came up with this 7-pointed star shape a few years back, inspired by the star of the Kremlin. In the center sits an acrylic gemstone, hand sewn on after the patch is made via embroidery machine. This pair didn't really have a conceptual theme, just a nice color palette to follow.

A classic Kasha logo patch on the heel with an embroidered plaid background. I made these a bit smaller, with the intention of machine sewing them. If they were full sized, I wouldn't be able to get to the corners with a machine. Ultimately, I ended up gluing the patches to save time. After months of skating these shoes the corners lifted a bit, but the patches never fell off.
